Williams, one of the oldest settled areas in Western Australia, is about 160kms south of Perth on the Albany Highway and is the “Gateway to the Great Southern Region”.

Much more than a pit stop for travellers, this friendly farming community encourages you to stop and ‘smell the roses’ which is notable for its magnificent display of “500 roses in 400m” along the main street over the summer and well into the cooler months.
Located on the banks of the Williams River the park is a popular and pleasant place for a barbecue or picnic, used by locals and travellers alike with coin operated BBQs, public toilets and a riverside walkway which also serves as a dog exercise area. Stop at the Rustic Rainbow or the Williams Woolshed for a coffee and that hard-to-find gift or local produce. Williams is home to its annual Gateway Expo held in April.
10km northwest of the Williams, the well sign posted Williams Nature Reserve, just off the Albany Highway, is set aside for the conservation of flora and fauna which provides visitors with suitable access and day-use facilities such as parking, information, a lookout and picnic table.
